ANODERM PLASTY

Anodermal folds, otherwise known as anal marginal folds, are stretched parts of the skin in the anal area. Anyone can experience this problem, regardless of gender. Anodermal folds can range in size from a few millimetres to even a few centimetres. Although it is mainly an aesthetic complaint, it can also make it difficult to maintain proper hygiene, which often leads to inflammation and itching problems in the anal area. This creates a medical indication for the removal of the lesion. Above all, this issue causes discomfort for patients and is often a complex that makes intimate life difficult.

Causes of perianal folds:

  • Previous thrombosis
  • Hemorrhoids
  • Childbirth
  • Heavy physical exertion, lifting
  • Chronic inflammation and irritation
  • Scars and skin lesions

At Diamond Clinic, we remove perianal folds both surgically and by laser.  It is a several-minute procedure, carried out under local anaesthesia. Before making a decision about the procedure, the consulatation is necessary.

Perianal fold removal procedures at Diamond Clinic are performed by Dr Anna Trybull.
